Very nice people. They have a we'll stocked camp store. We had a repair issue and they went out of their way to assist us.
Our site was #11. Small but enough room for our big rig and tow vehicle. Liked having a trash can on site and the lantern at services location. Very clean park. Quiet. Close enough to restaurants and other services in Clinton. One mile east is Museum of the Appalachia. Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited. This is an outdoor museum. So we will return another time. It is affiliated with the Smithsonian.
Nestled in the beautiful mountains, this clean and well-maintained KOA has lots of traffic, so make reservations with the friendly staff. Sites are quite accessible, level, and graveled. There's plenty of facilities for families, kids, and pets, and although close to the interstate, it's a quiet and restful place. Visit the Museum of Appalachia next door and you'll also find all sorts of family restaurants, malls, and shops of every descriptions. Country roads will take you to hill and farm country that still feels like the 18th century. We stayed 4 days in 10/17, pulling a 43' 5th wheel and will return when in the area.
Very nice people running this place. I had to switch from a tent site to a cabin site and there were no complications. They always had wood and ice when I needed it. I would stop here on my way through or stay a few days again.
Staff is extremely friendly, campus is clean and makes for an easy night stay! We camped and it was PERFECT! The bathrooms were immaculate. We can't wait to stay again!
