My review of Lori Hughes of Balanced Life Counseling Services: I am absolutely LIVID. Two times we had appointments at 7:15 pm. Our very first appointment we were kept waiting for almost 20 minutes with no apology. And when I did mention it, she basically said "well, that's what happens in this business." I let it slide, figuring she had an emergency session or a session that went long due to an urgent matter. However, I was further irritated by the fact that not only did we start late, we ended early! Really? I can't even get a full appointment, but you give others our time? The second (and LAST) appointment was again at 7:15 pm on a totally different weekday. This time we were left waiting over 30 minutes before I got irritated, angry, enough to walk out with my child. I called her and stated we had waited for over 30 minutes, and her response? "yeah..." AGAIN, NOT ONE WORD OF APOLOGY!! You know, our first five sessions are free to me, but not the insurance company, and I don't deserve to be treated as "less" just because of that! Totally unprofessional, uncaring and unconcerned that she left people who already has issues feeling like they weren't worth a phone call or a text to let us know Ms. Hughes was running behind. We will be requesting another therapist, and will be informing the insurance company that, if they intend to continue referring her as a therapist, they may want to gift her with an alarm clock! Lorie is a great counselor,very caring and understanding. If I have a problem she always helps me through it. When I was really bad off I had to go to the hospital and she talked to me until basically midnight. She's always very helpful in every situation even if she tells me something I don't want to hear at the time, she right about it anyway. I don't just get along with any counselor and I've had some I couldn't talk to but she's always easy to talk to. Lori hughes is very professional and respectful and she doesn't judge you so it makes her very easily to get along with. I'd definitely recommend her because she actually cares about the people she sees. She goes above expectation.
She is a very great counselor and very loving and caring I would recommend her to everyone and all the people that hate on her is a joke she is a very great person.
Lori is amazing. I have no wors to explain how wonderful she is with my daughter. My girl loves her. Keep up the extraordinary job uou do. Thank you.☺
