I was in the market for some fossils and a friend turned me on to Bull Run Fossil Plant. I have bought fossils before but was tired of the extreme mark up that stores like Walmart or Target place on fossils. So I thought to myself "Why not buy fossils directly from the manufacturer?" That's when I asked my friend Kyle where he thought a good place to buy new fossils would be. Craigslist was out, because who want old fossils?
So I contact the fine folks at Bull Run Fossil Plant and asked if they would be kind enough to sell directly to consumers. I was in luck. Pete met me at BP parking lot and sold some new fossils to me directly from Bull Run Fossil Plant.
Turns out that Target was cheaper.
Not at all what I was expecting. I don't know who Pete was, but I sure didn't get ahold of him when I went to visit the Fossil Plant. After getting lost twice and driving over an hour and a half I was greeted by a guy named Steve who promptly pointed his Glock 27 at me and told me I needed to turn around IMMEDIATELY! I explained there must be some mistake as I was here to see their stock of plant fossils. He fired a shot at my feet, told me to stop being a comedian and get out of there. So I went home, slightly scarred and fossil-less. Guess I'll go back to eBay and see if I can get my petrified palm fronds there.
