One of the Best Schools in the County, even though it's an Alternate School.
Now the teachers themselves, are fantastic, most teachers feel, or legitimately care about their student's well being, education, and situation at home. This above all else is why I'll always revere the teachers here, they were honest, dedicated teachers, advisors, and friends to students here. The support staff are even friendlier, know your name, your problems (as word will travel fast amongst the staff), and even offer simple gestures of care to reinforce their students confidence. As much as this is a review, I want to draw attention to a sad situation that occured during my stay here that will forever embed itself in my memory.
She sadly didn't. She died shortly after coming down with her illness. Her husband grieved, her students comforted her husband, and her colleagues and fellow staff mourned along with everyone else. When she was buried, more than a hundred students, teachers, and family members showed up to pay their respects to her. Almost every student, teacher, and even returning students helped her husband overcome his depression. This school has what some others lack: Compassion, Empathy, and a Sense of Community amongst it's many members.
Several years ago, we had two student psychologists, organized student trips, teamwork exercises, and looked after the well being of those they represented. They learned the ins and outs of every student they met, took the time to care, and support their students in need. Well one of them fell morbidly ill, you see the student psychologists were married. Every staff member and student cared for them, comforted the uncertain spouse, wished, prayed, and hoped that the female psychologist would get better.
I cannot recommend any other school in Anderson County, because this one will be with me forever.
I attended CRCS for 6 years, ever since it was known as "The Learning Center" and resided in one of the most busy parts of Clinton. With saying that, I never liked school. I hated School, I'd rather get sick then attend school, but the TLC and CRCS grew on me over the many years there. The class sizes are small, with maybe at most 12-15 to as few as 3-4 students in a class. Leaving the teachers and their assistants easy access to socialize and teach their students efficiently.
The school is nice but there are a few problems: the staff is kinda jumpy if you ask about their "time out" system, they don't have clean bathrooms, they keep a strict enter\exit process meaning they search anyone who goes in, and they all have a dress code
